Favourite Records of the Year. Selected by: Blanck Mass
With Dumb Flesh, Benjamin John Power – one half of the Fuck Buttons – not only produced one of the highlights of his discography, but maybe also the most body-conscious electronic album of the year: The second outing as Blanck Mass is fascinating, challenging and disturbing at the same time, but an instant grower also euphorically pushing onto the dancefloor – a hypnotic rush that sends the brain on a trip and controlls the legs, showcasing a formidable songwriter. Combined with the not less brilliant Great Confuso EP, the genre-crown for the time being is Powers‘ alone.
